Children are invited to stop by the Ballet Western Reserve tent to make your own crowns, wands and tutus. You’ll leave with a fun creation to wear! Nutcracker audition and class information will be available.

Jewish Community Center of Youngstown

Come make a superhero cape with the art instructors from the Paul & Yetta Gluck School of Visual Arts at The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown. 

YMCA of Youngstown

Kids are invited to create, color, and craft! Stop by for a fun, hands-on activity that sparks creativity and lets every child make something special to take home. 

Saturday at 11am, Sunday at 11am: Family Yoga with the YMCA of Youngstown – Kids and adults are welcome to relax and unwind during this gentle yoga practice. Participation in the full hour session is not required. Drop in and out as you like. Yoga mats will be provided.

YoPass

Join some of your favorite cultural destinations in the YoPass tent at Summer Festival of the Arts. The YoPass tent will feature activities from the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, SMARTS, Mahoning Valley Historical Society, Youngstown Center for Industry and Labor, OH WOW! and EAG. Try drill painting, etching, build a dinosaur and much more! YoPass is Youngstown’s digital passport program, bringing families and groups to 14 destinations in the city. The Youngstown Playhouse

Kids will create masks in The Youngstown Playhouse tent in order to learn about character development and costume design in theatre. The mask designs will focus on two youth shows for 2026-27: “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” and “Disney’s The Lion King Jr.”
