Laurie specializes is things of nature; landscapes, animals and flowers. Her watercolor paintings are colorful and realistic. She also paints on Claybord (a prepared wood surface) that needs no framing. Her paintings on ceramic tile with alcohol ink are very vibrant and are of a looser, more abstract style. The artist is local to the area, many of her paintings are created from photos taken while hiking in nature.
