This weekend, the Summer Festival of the Arts returns to Youngstown State University for a celebration of creativity and community. Here’s your guide to making the most of your visit:

???? Getting There

The festival takes place on the YSU campus, right across Fifth Avenue from the main parking areas.

Look for the Main Welcome Tent near the entrance—this is a great place to pick up maps, ask questions, or get oriented.

???? Parking

Parking is free and conveniently located. You can park in any of these YSU lots off Fifth Avenue:

From there, it’s a short walk across Fifth Avenue to the festival entrance.

Saturday, July 12
10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 13
11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Arrive early to beat the crowds and have your pick of parking.

Comfortable Shoes: You’ll be walking across campus and browsing booths.
Sunscreen & Sunglasses: Most of the festival is outdoors with limited shade.
Reusable Bag: Great for carrying purchases and brochures.
Water Bottle: Stay hydrated—refill stations will be available.
Cash/Card: Many vendors accept cards, but some are cash-only.

This is a family-friendly event, with free activities for kids including hands-on art stations, games, and interactive exhibits. Strollers are welcome, and most areas are accessible for guests with mobility needs.
